She gets the notification to her phone as she's about to settle into bed that night. She sighs heavily and shows it to her husband. He hugs her and tells her he loves her and is in awe of her strength of will.
(He saw her backlash at its absolute worst during her awakening. He saved her life from it. He knows and understands as much as a non-esper can how much it costs her to use her power)
She loves him too and trusts him to hold down the fort at home, and be there for their children when she cannot.
She swears every confluence that this will be the last time. But really, she has too much of a sense of duty to stop before she absolutely has to. And as as a support esper that could be decades yet.
In the morning she will tell the older of her two children what's up (the younger doesn't even yet know that his mother is an esper as she prefers this information not be wildly known among casual friends and acquaintances) and call her boss at the law firm where she works as a paralegal outside of confluences. (Said boss is the only person at the firm who knows what's up). She also calls her agent.
And then Overcoat is ready once again to defend humanity. And make the world a better place, whatever her backlash may tell her.
