"Hello my roots, Parabola here. I am at Toronto right now, doing search and rescue — not at Arrakis itself, just the city of Toronto. Or I was, at least.

While I was doing S&R, a gas main exploded. One of the worms must have damaged one. I was caught in it. Content warning for injury. Swipe away if you don't want to see it."

"I used my power to give myself as good a landing as possible, but I was still burned and bruised and I broke my wrist from it. Not a very good start to the confluence.

So, given that, you might be wondering why I'm here talking to you right now. Well, it happens that there were three medical espers at Toronto — Uisa, Airmed, and Aumento. Uisa fixed my internal bleeding and my wrist, and Aumento used his regen on me.

Aumento is a new esper — he's been one for less than a year. His power grants people superstrength and regeneration — the regeneration works faster the sooner the injury is. So a recent injury gets healed faster. But still, he can heal old injuries with enough time. His power can affect multiple people at once, and he has a facility in Montpelier where he heals people. Not just espers!

You can tell how good the power is. Look!" She moves the camera closer to her face. "My hair is totally ruined but my face, my body — all my burns and bruises have healed." It is as she describes.
