Erika knows the route to school pretty well. She walks it every day, after all. She could do it almost in her sleep, which means it's a good opportunity to get lost in her own thoughts for a while. Something new and unexpected she needs to pay attention to almost never shows up.
And then Tuxedo Bow wordlessly places her hands over Sailor Moon's, and the light blossoms out, gold and silver shining, enough to eliminate all shadows from the room.
"This is stupid..." Sailor U mumbles, before stepping in and wrapping her own hands around Sailor Moon's wrists. "Guardian of the Winds, God of the Sky – lift them up! Become the wind under their wings!" And even more power pours in, as it flows through Sailor Moon's hands drawing with it a reserve of energy she didn't know she had.
Sailor V alone hangs back, arms crossed and expression shuttered. She's watching the monsters carefully.
Light bursts out from her, converging on the quiescent gem in Ail's hand. An answering light builds in it, then releases with a blinding flash.
Ail and An pull back with a startled cry, and a woman emerges from the light. Her skin's green like Ail and An's, but she has long flowing brown hair with leaf-green highlights. Her brown and green collar resembles that of a serafuku, but instead of the white leotard and colored skirt that Earth's Sailor Guardians wear, she has a tight brown bodice with numerous cutouts, brown tights with a lace pattern, and a long flowing green skirt that's open at the front. She blinks as the light fades, her hands flying to her mouth –
Sailor Moon, meanwhile, is incredibly dizzy.
Mercury isn't the one whose arms wrap around her, though. Strong arms catch her, Sailor U stepping in seamlessly as Sailor Moon's knees buckle. "Reckless," she murmurs, but there's fondness in her tone. She cradles Sailor Moon to her chest, gently lifting her into a bridal carry; she smells like spring's first wind.
Oh, that's a nice smell. She musters the energy for a smirk. "But it worked."
Then, triumphantly, she passes out.
A hand brushes her hair away from her forehead. "Do you need any water, Erika-kun?" Shinju asks, softly.
We interrupt this hngh to bring you hkk!
"Sh-Shinju-senpai!" Her voice comes out as a strangled whisper.
"Alright..." She offers a glass of water, then: "Luna, could you let Ami-san know that Erika-kun is awake, please?"
She takes a drink of water so she doesn't have to think about any of Shinju being in her bedroom, talking to Luna, or Luna talking back.
Shinju sits quietly beside her, but then, once Luna steps out: "Erika-kun... Sailor Moon. There's something I need to tell you."
Uh oh. Is she getting kicked off the archery team because she's magical. Is Shinju angry that she didn't tell her earlier she was Sailor Moon. Is Shinju ideologically opposed to girls who wear serafuku. Is Shinju embarrassed by the way she fainted and now no longer wants to associate with her. It was nice being alive while it lasted.
"What is it, senpai?"
