"Hi!" Kiss. "I missed you."

"I was too busy to miss you," he says, nuzzling her. "Okay. I - went a little overboard on this; instead of a healing fountain in your pocket it's a spell that makes you able to build healing fountains wherever you want. And if I lose the mountain the spell will stop working but it won't blow up or do stuff it's not supposed to, it'll just - not work, the fountains will stop making magic water and you won't be able to make more. And if somebody casts that disjunction thing on you, the spell might lose you for a minute but it won't get blown up along with all the everything and it'll find you again if it can. It's possible we should test that part, actually, but I'm pretty sure of it."

She grins brilliantly and kisses him hard.

Mmmmmmmmkiss.

"I love you. I'm not sure how we'd test that, honestly, the disjunction explicitly doesn't affect the caster or magic items they're touching, and I don't actually know any other wizards who can cast it who I could casually call upon to do so for science."

"Oh, it wouldn't work if I hooked somebody else to it and you disjuncted at them?"

"Oh, that would work, but it'd have to be after you got the immortality done."

"Or if I invented resurrection first," he suggests. "Or hooked somebody from your world into it and you tested it there. But yeah."

"Maybe one of the Sisters of Graciousness, that way we could test the cleric stuff too while she's here."

"Maybe."

"And it wouldn't require an extra detour, their temple is where I left her."

Snuggle. "Convenient."

Kiss. "So is the spell on me already, how do I use it?"

"Nah, didn't hook you up yet." He kisses her nose. "See if you can find it now."

She tries.

It's elusive at first, but then - there it is, a self-explanatory mental interface. It makes fountains. She can change the design of the fountains if she likes, and put them anywhere she has direct line-of-sight on. They can be huge and elaborate or pocket-sized.

Serik snuggles her.

"Ooh." She snuggles back. "This is lovely."

He grins.

"I like how it varies in size from 'fountain proper' to 'Decanter of Endless Water."

Giggle.

"That's a magic item that exists, by the way, I have one."

"Well now you can have more if you like!"

"Mhm!" Kiss. "This is so, so fantastic, I love you."

Snuggle. "I love you too."

Snuggle. "Do you think it would work to visit House Valire before evening?"
