The guard makes an alarmed sound. Maitimo looks confused, catches perhaps an osanwë glimpse -

- goes very still -

"Oh look. I'm suddenly completely useless to you until you let Findekáno send me to the empty planet."

" - but you were leaving anyway -"

"Funny, that's what I thought, but apparently the war isn't over."

" - I don't want the soldiers to all go celebrate and get drunk, I wasn't trying to -" he looks at the guard - "he's permitted to leave -"

"Seemed easier to reverse not-letting-him-leave than letting-him-leave, when it was unclear -" he wilts. He scampers away.

Where are you, I need you to send me to the empty planet.

He sends his location. - why do you -

The disappearance point I'm hooked into now is on Maitimo's forehead and apparently it was a misunderstanding and he doesn't actually mean to keep finding excuses to keep me. He gets up and whirls around to find Findekáno.

...but it takes magic to move it again?

I can hook into an existing one without costing. I can't make another new one without costing.

If you want to kill him things wouldn't fall apart.

I would have done this a while ago if I only wanted -

I just want to leave.

Okay.

And there Cor is and he starts painting.

Cor holds still and is painted and stares into space.

And then they're somewhere else. Somewhere cold.

"Thanks."

Cor starts for the little camp to get blankets and ash.

"Do you need anything?"

"I'll hook into a point here. I'll go to the south continent. I'll be fine. Thank you."

"Uh huh."

He sings it warmer and starts drawing the way back.

"Thank you," Cor says again.

And he goes.

They ask orcs for information about Sauron.

No one can look at him (except Findekáno, who nonetheless doesn't). He gets his crown redesigned. It looks a bit ridiculous and the disappearance point corrodes the bit that brushes against it but people can look straight at it.

Disappearance points grow, but slowly. He has a while. Findekáno has a lot of opinions about how he should spend it.

The south continent colony fills up. They don't risk sending diplomats north while Sauron's still around.

He visits mages, asks for someone interested in coming up with an artistic representation of the fact Sauron really shouldn't exist.

There's a mage guild. He can identify mages by looking at them. Does he have lots of detail on Sauron?

So much detail.
