What's the thing?

I mean, I suppose it's not that different. Just seems sort of trivializing.

Scraping one's fork against the dinner plates so it screeches is irritating, torturing people chained to your wall and then expecting them to behave like nothing happened doesn't seem summed up by 'super irritating'?

Yeah.

I'm inclined to go back to him right now but if you think we should do something else -

What do you get out of going back to him?

His current emotional state is not a complete mystery up until he sees fit to drop in on me and I have some chance to nip things in the bud if it's a counterproductive one and he feels rewarded for doing the right thing.

I have no substantive argument against.

And he promised Ranary he'd protect Cor. Okay. Take care.

I'm gonna take a nap and see if I wake up arty. Good luck.

You too.

Maitimo is still in his rooms. Findekáno washes soot off himself and then crawls into bed. "Place was cold."

"And I was good, so I get a present?"

"I thought about asking you for a guest room. I'd - just be sitting there spinning my wheels, scared. Even if you promised to leave us both alone I'd be scared. So this is better. Are you happy to have that kind of romantic arrangement -"

"I was going to change it."

"I'm still cold."

He joins him. "What do you want?"

"Uh, something sufficiently within-normal-parameters that I stop feeling terrified, which that question is not."

"I can do that."

He can.

His boyfriend snuggles him. "Are you going to let us go?"

"You're already gone."

"Not an answer."

"I did mean to eventually."

"Also not an answer."

"And don't do this again, not to anyone."
