That's pretty much the only place she can go other than "down a bottomless pit".

"Down these stairs..." Except most of them have rotted off too and fallen to the bottom. Which is visible and existent so, there's that. "Alright, jump!—actually, looking at it, that is quite a distance, isn't it?"

"We'll be fine."

"Aaaaa- still held! Still being held, you did—that's a great job, you've applied the grip, we're all fine, that's tremendous."

"Up ahead there's more catwalks and the main breaker room!"

"AH! I—Sorry, I just looked down. I do not recommend it. AH! I've just done it again!"

"Okay... I just now realized that I used to rely on my management rail to not fall into bottomless pits. And you're my rail now. And you can fall into bottomless pits. I'm rambling out of fear, but here's the point: don't get close to the edge."

"This is the main breaker room. Look for a switch that says 'Escape Pod,' alright? Don't touch anything else. Not interested in anything else. Don't touch anything else. Don't even look at anything else, just—well, obviously you've got to look at everything else to find 'Escape Pod,' but as soon as you've looked at something and it doesn't say 'Escape Pod,' look at something else, look at the next thing. Alright? But don't touch anything else or look at any—well, look at other things, but don't... you understand."

Is there a switch that says Escape Pod? ...are these switches even labelled?

They are! In the little red light thingy.

"Can you see it anywhere? I can't see it anywhere. Uh. Tell you what, plug me in and I'll turn the lights on."

"No, I think I got it," she says, peering up at the switches. "If I can't see it from here, turning the lights on won't help."

"Well but I can't see anything from here."

So many switches. Lots and lots of them.

"You wouldn't have a very good angle to read the walls from if you were attached to that panel," she points out reasonably. Switches, switches switches... no Escape Pod yet...

"I could turn around from there," he explains.

So many switches, though! Main test chamber 1 light switch, main test chamber 1 light switch switch, main test chamber 1 light switch switch switch, main test chamber 2 override, main test chamber 2 light switch...

Why this.

"I might have to do some climbing, unless you can - extend yourself upward from there somehow..."
