Leliana leads her through the first verse and chorus, singing the lyrics softly to Blaze's playing.

"With a bit more practice, you will be easily accepted as a bard,"Leliana says.

Her skin flushes at the praise and she ducks her head. "I- thank you, ma'am."

Azry lets out an honest-to-goodness snore.

Alistair giggles. "Your playing was so soothing you put her to sleep, Blaze!" His grin is thrilled.

"See? You already soothe people with your song!"

She gives another quiet giggle.

"Want to go over it again? Just a few more times. Then I promise I will let you sleep."

Honestly Leliana likes being a teacher. She never realised how much she enjoys coaching others.

She nods. "Please?"

Leliana smiles beatifically. 

She helps Blaze go through the song a few more times, even helping her learn a few lyrics. "Car tu es celui que j'aime, ma chère âme," she sings sweetly, prompting Blaze to copy.

She copies, as relaxed as they've ever seen her.

"Your accent is terrible," Leliana teases playfully.

She starts to apologise-

And then recognises the tone, from the interaction of others, and giggles again, a strange warm feeling in her stomach.

Leliana can't help it, she laughs along with Blaze. What a delightfully happy sound!

Azry groans in her sleep, mumbling.

Alistair laughs quietly. "You've disturbed her!" He wakes her gently, and with some coaxing, they both head off to their tent to sleep, waving at Leliana and Blaze.

She doesn't get a chance to get the apology out that she wants to before they're gone.

"I- would you mind if I-?" she asks Leliana.

Leliana frowns. "Mind if you what?"

"Um, sleep?"

"Oh! Oh, of course, I'm so sorry. I got so caught up." She takes the lute back from Blaze. "I'm on first watch so I didn't even think. I'm sorry. Though not sorry you learned something! Unless you didn't like it. In which case...sorry?"

"I- no, it's fine! I just- hadn't realised how tired- I was."

"Oh, I get like that all the time. You get so excited about something sleep seems irrelevant! Though in your case, definitely get some sleep." Leliana smiled at Blaze's belly, and then at her face. "Off you go. There will be plenty of time to learn more songs. I will ensure it."

She smiles. "I- I'd like that."

And off she goes to sleep, barefoot, smiling, and with one hand resting contently on her stomach.

Leliana watches her go, smiling softly. Happiness was a welcome look on the young girl's face.

She takes her lute up again, this time strumming a soft lullaby.

The next morning Blaze wakes early as she has been known to do, and leaves the tent she's borrowed, quietly humming the tune Leliana taught her the night before.

Alistair smiles at her when she gets close. "Morning. Sleep well?"

Zevran's on the other side of camp, though offers a smile and a wave when she catches his eye.
