"I keep finding dead bodies, but no one is sure what I am. Fully apprised of werewolves and associated things." 

"Okay. So the reason you keep finding dead bodies is that you are what's called a banshee. You can sense death and certain psychic energies."

"Okay. Is that the whole package, because that sounds kind of awful." 

They join Dr. Deaton. 

"You got a better deal when the wendigos did. They're obligate cannibals. Anyway, what you felt earlier this evening was the Nemeton reawakening. We're headed back there."

Ellayania asks Scott if he would kindly go there as well.

Scott is on his way. 

"That does sound bad. So how does being a banshee work?" 

"I'll find you a book. I'm afraid I don't know much."

"Dr. Deaton is a druid, as you probably know. I am not, I am an acolyte of a god, newly arrived to this place."

"A god? That's interesting. How does that work?"

Pascale is now pretty good at explaining how gods work to people haven't met a real one. Her summary is both informative and interesting.

"So the Nemeton, that has something to do with your god?"

"It didn't until tonight. She claimed it as part of her domain, and it- woke up."

"Is it dangerous? Every new thing I learn about is dangerous."

"So far it doesn't seem to be. And if it proves to be, Ellayania could kill it as easily as she woke it."

"It shouldn't be dangerous, not by itself. It might attract supernatural creatures, though. I should have realized this was a risk." 

"We'll deal with them as they show up."

Elsewhere, the Nemeton grows.
