A nap is in fact what she wants the most right now and Sera raises her hand without hesitation.

Leareth is not tired - he's maybe the least tired he remembers being ever in the last decade - so he doesn't raise his hand.

Seldan thinks he could probably nap - which means he must be pretty tired, Groveborn need very little sleep at normal times - but it's not a desperate craving or anything.

Blai feels more urgent about a chicken pie and a bath to be honest.

That makes sense; the people raising their hand for this includes everyone who hasn't gotten a Restoration either today or yesterday - with the exception of Seldan, who's a Groveborn who can manage on four candlemarks of sleep a night for weeks if he has to - and no one who has had a Restoration in the last twenty-four candlemarks is complaining of urgent nap needs.

Shavri thought that Leareth still had some kind of other impairment but Gemma's still waiting for Jisa to turn up to assess that.

Where does that leave them? Seldan needs to be able to physically leave the House of Healing, and probably Blai would appreciate a Companion who can actually carry his weight, especially if Blai himself is not feeling totally entirely back to his normal healthy self which seems likely. For everyone else, it feels to her like it depends a lot on who's the most desperately needed for urgent work now and not after a few days of rest.

The most likely candidates are Van and - at least one of Leareth or Nayoki and honestly Nayoki's problems seem way more fixable with a single Restoration. Sera is definitely in no shape to work today without more healing, but she could get a guest room and laze around taking naps until tomorrow, an extra Healer is useful pretty much anywhere but nothing is blocked on her...

"I think we're for sure going to want Restorations on Seldan, Van, and - Ovada, I'm aware you were hoping to get some backup today? Ideally both Leareth and Nayoki back on their feet, but at least one of them?"

"Yes," Ovada says, a little stiffly.

It would maybe be nice to have one single afternoon off after dying horribly but Nayoki is not going to get everything she wants today. "I think I would be functional if I were less tired," she says.

Leareth has spent the last several minutes effortfully noticing that he needs to think about a question, figuring out what question that is, and then - trying to think through it.

He manages to interrupt before the conversation moves on, by lifting his hand to get Gemma's attention.

"...I think that I - should not be responsible - for important decisions right now," he says. It shouldn't be upsetting to say it in front of a room full of people because it's blatantly and obviously true. "It - I can figure out -" No he lost where that going. "...It might be fixable with more of the healing but it seems expensive relative to everyone else," he says instead.

Well. He's not wrong. And if anything it's reassuring about his current state that he noticed this fact and wasn't too reluctant to admit it.

Gemma nods. "I think it might take five Restorations to hit everything a Restoration can possibly target separately," she says, matter-of-factly. "Since we know the first one would have gotten anything that wasn't sticky. We could do it today, but only if we skip two of the three others who need one."

Oh no. Poor Leareth.

...It belatedly occurs to Vanyel that while Gemma seems to be including the non-native-speakers with Mindspeech, Leareth did not do that just now. He bounces a translation to Aziza, who seemed interested in tracking how Leareth is doing. Even if her specific reason for being worried seems very off-base, Vanyel...is also kind of worried...and there's something weirdly reassuring about having another Shelynite as backup.

She smiles at him with the side of her mouth nearest him.

Wow apparently it was really very good for everyone else affected that they got a Blai-channel within fifteen seconds! Apparently if that hadn't happened, then not only would they have died horribly, they would have died with a pile of things messed up that would stick through a Raise Dead! It's pretty horrifying!

Seldan is perhaps feeling a little more sympathetic to the Shadow-Lover declining the reasonable request to put Leareth back to not-being-dead for six seconds. Since the things wrong with him would have been very unfixable with the resources they had, and he wouldn't have been much use for the Gate-routing research anyway. It's got to be worth it to Leareth's organization to fix him even if it costs a lot of diamond dust from a limited-if-large supply, but the person here to represent Leareth's organization isn't arguing with the conclusions, just looking unhappy about them.

Gemma rubs her hands together.

"Right now I'm thinking - one Restoration each for Nayoki and Seldan. Targeting Endurance for Nayoki and...I think actually Strength for Seldan, he never got a Lesser Restoration for it and he's lost more ground. I...think I actually want two on Van, on both of Endurance and Strength – Van, I know Savil wants you on the Web with her as soon as you're up and that's heavy work. That leaves two for Leareth now, and I'm...kind of thinking I want to do one now on whatever we decide he'll benefit from the most and save one for emergencies but plan to use it on him before dawn. Does anyone want to argue with me on that plan."

It is kind of unbelievably how badly Ovada wishes he could be getting a mortifying lecture right now instead of...this...but it makes sense and he nods and doesn't argue.

At least it sounds like Leareth will get the actual day off that Nayoki wishes she could have. She tries to catch his eye but he's looking the wrong way. She wants to...squeeze his shoulder reassuringly, or something, but he wouldn't actually like it or find it reassuring so she doesn't.

"I think we - well, not me, but the visiting clerics - can do that for sure, do you want me to tell Cicerone Raad for you?"

"- Yes but I think they've just gone off to the dining hall, so let's maybe wait a few minutes." Gemma already feels a bit like she's been unintentionally rude and demanding to the important visitors who just solved so many of her problems. "It's not urgent on the scale of minutes - oh, Jisa, there you are!"

Rolan did not tell Enara what Jisa was urgently needed for at the House of Healing and she miiight have slightly panicked that - well, the first thing that jumped to mind was that her mother was having some sort of breakdown, Shavri was in...a bad way...yesterday, and her papa said she'd slept maybe three candlemarks during the night and slipped out well before dawn to head back to the House of Healing and -

- it's apparently not that, because everything is calm and quiet. The room where everyone was previously lying being desperately ill is empty and it took Jisa an entire minute of poking around before someone vaguely informed her that "oh, Gemma wanted you, she's in the meeting-room".

It's not even very far into the day and she's already tired. She cast the Adept ritual first thing in order to bribe earth elementals with oodles of mage-energy into diamond-searching for them in the Elemental Plane of Earth. (The bribe was easy. Her elementals like her. Communicating what she meant by a "diamond" was what took the longest.)

She pokes her head into the room and is about to mutter a somewhat sulky "what?" at Gemma before -

"Leareth! You're back!" She really shouldn't run and give him a hug even though she's so so relieved it would be super weird

For some definition of 'back', at least. Leareth nods levelly to her.

And Nayoki! And one of the Healers who didn't make it! Jisa is tempted to bounce about it. (She doesn't because she has a hard enough time looking like a mature capable grownup without acting like a kid.) She does smile brightly at the cleric of - Shelyn? - whose name she doesn't think she ever caught actually.

- oh right Gemma called her for something. "Gemma, what did you need? I don't have an update on the Gate, sorry, they've got a slightly better route but it's still not worth it unless there's an emergency and we need - do we -?" It doesn't look very emergency-ish in here, she doesn't think?

"Mm-hmm. Leareth came back with a lot of the sticky damage, apparently the Raise Dead doesn't fix that except insofar as it would kill him otherwise. Shavri thought some of it would be easier to assess with Mindhealing Sight. We can only spare one or two more spells for him today so we need to prioritize what to target. I - there are three different ways we could target it? By default I'd give him one for Dexterity but that's mostly because I can see the problem."

Oh.

"Of course," Jisa says. Not that she's at all sure where to start! Shavri teased apart the different things by observing Lesser Restorations aimed at all of them and seeing what they did, but if they had enough spells to just do that they wouldn't be needing to prioritize.
