"Thank you." Felix says softly. "Me too you, if you need it."

"I don't know any way to get you home yet. But we have magic here. I can try learning some, see if I can get anywhere."

"Thank you, I appreciate it. It isn't likely I must be very far away."

Felix sighs.

"Do you know what sorts of things the local magic can do? Could it disguise my wings? I already miss being able to just... be in public."

"Local magic isn't really very good, but I can focus on it, get to a point where I can do more. I think hiding the wings would be easy if you were into blood sacrifice, it's just harder for people with scruples."

"Blood sacrifice?"

"Pile up enough bodies next to a tree, big stuff happens."

"Wow. Okay, I don't hate being lonely enough that I will kill people. But I do wonder if there is way to teach with the 'enough bodies' aspect if the bodies were never alive in the first place?"

"Can you make them alive but not people? I know I said bodies, but spilling blood on the roots is the main thing."

"I could make them alive but seriously brain-damaged. Not sure if it counts."

"Not sure that's the same. I don't want to kill people for this, and making someone just to kill them...we can do it, if you have good healing magic. Do you have healing magic?"

"No really, no. And this line of thinking is probably not going to be worth the trouble," he fidgets.

"I've been wondering, actually, am I different from other people because of how I started? Do I still run on regular human biology or...dream biology?"

"Scott would be the one to know for certain, but given that they can leave the dimension, odds are that you run on regular human biology, the magic does tries to be efficient. You might have some magical traits."

"We just need a werewolf and someone who has healing magic; between them, they can get enough blood without killing anyone."

"Ooooh, my world does have a system of magic that does healing, but it is..." Felix waves, "hard to learn, both in terms of effort and due to the fact that it is only shared with few people."

"I'll have to get cracking on the local magic, then. Do you want to help me?"

"Sure. I am actually considering exploring my world's witchcraft now, mostly because I can here without being afraid a witch-queen is going to come and obliterate everything in a three city-block radius, and there might be some shortcuts and even if it doesn't it can get really powerful."

"Was that a big problem back home?"

"Well, it wasn't big in the sense it was common, but it was big in the sense that the reason it wasn't common is the absolute certain witch-queens' ability to catch people that get their secrets without permission."

"I think our magic is secret because it's not that good and it goes with the werewolf secret, but I'll see if I can find signs of a witch-queen conspiracy."

"I mean the fact that witch-queens exist is well known, if anything they love the attention, is just the details of how they can do magic that is kept secret aside from the broad strokes. Granted, we should check just in case it is the same system somehow, no reason why it couldn't be."

"It sounds different, but just to be safe, yeah. Do you want to meet the local druid? He'll probably be willing to help."

"I've met Deaton, and also someone that the Argents know, but didn't discuss the local magic besides the fact that mountain ash doesn't work on me and that I didn't had any gaps in my memory."

"The Argents know a druid? That they get along with? Kind of weird...but I think meeting Deaton with me would be better, he's always a little vague and mysterious with new people."

"Yeah, I forgot her name and they get along well enough to call her for help. Vague and mysterious describes Deaton well enough, I would apreciate knowing more, thank you."
