"I do!  Should I have Ariel pick up some other fruit combinations as well?"

"Sure, it can be culinary tourism week."

"There's fewer of them than with meat, since plant products are still mostly grown instead of cultured.  But more and more-interesting things have been popping up in recent years."

"Probably there are like. Apple cultivars we don't have, even if they aren't also part banana. Though I have never been that aggressive about trying every weird apple in the store."

"I'd pull up the Wikipedia article on apple varieties if you were able to read it."  Kitchen!  Pancake prep!

"I appreciate the thought, anyway."

"...Hm.  Are you musical at all?"

"Not significantly. I didn't like, sit out of music class the way I sat out of gym."

"I might normally sing, to fill silence, but I'm not sure it relevantly does that, for you."

"I mean, I don't have to be very musical to sing along, if I know the song, and I don't think I'm like ear-bleedingly bad."

"What's a song you know?"

"Uh - well now I'm worried it's racist if all I can think of are Christmas songs - what month even is it here, it's September at home - Ren's been on an Enya kick and I could mumble along with a lot of that by now? I probably know most of the words to Bohemian Rhapsody?"

"It's late March.  I would not personally be offended by a selection of Christmas music, although given that it's not seasonal for either of us one of the other selections would perhaps be preferable.  ...Though I am curious about overlap, given that many of our popular ones are from a country you lack."

"Uh, oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it - you being curious about the lyrics helped till they got repetitive, apparently."

That warrants a hair-ruffle, apparently.  (He washes his hands again, after.)  "I don't know that one.  The bells, the merry sleighing bells, their cheerful tinkling tells, of winter's warmest fee-eeling -"

Haru twitches a little bit when ruffling his hair proves to require additional handwashing but doesn't comment on it. "I don't know that one... hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn king, peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled?"

"Yes.  Kids from two to ninety-two all have eyes aglow; Christmastime at last is here and the stars put on a show?"

"...might be kind of familiar but not enough to place it. Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright?"

"Yes.  Possibly the most famous Christmas song we have.  Adeste Fideles laeti triumphantes -"

"...tune sounds familiar but I don't know it to normally be in Latin. Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose, and if you ever saw it, you might even say it glows?"

"Not familiar.  Petit Papa Noël, quand tu decendras du ciel -"

"...might have heard it ever before in my life but not more than once and not recently. Hark, hear the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say, throw cares away..."

"That one's surprising; I would expect very little from that part of Europe to match.  Fresh-fallen snow on Christmas Eve, good fortune, good fortune to all, it brings?"

"Doesn't ring a bell. Uh, jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh?"
