"Not my range but my focus, a little, yes. Less than being in a fight does, though."

"...Right."  That's kind of overwhelming to think about.

"I don't know how to feed you the data you would be getting from your sensory abilities, Lord Pradnakt.  Most of the time the people with wide-ranging ability to pick up on things are droids, and they can just access the simspace."

"Daisy's already going to be monitoring me, and she knows most of what I can do, would she be able to access it or is it class four specific?"

"There shouldn't be any problems with that, no; it was already set up with the possibility of Force interventions in mind, and it's relatively kernel-agnostic - or rather, cross-compatible."

"That seems like the way to do it, then, for today. Communication between me and her will be a bottleneck but erring on the side of me being a little less competent doesn't seem like a problem."

"Prepare for the worst, yes."

...aww, darn, they had ideas...

Alright, that's settled.  Places, everyone!

The Forgotten Hope is not well-equipped by the standards of the By Other Means, Kalbetis' nominal flagship.  This does not mean that it is not well-equipped - just that it cannot, for example, simulate changing gravitational conditions, or entire city blocks.  It simulates the immediate environs of one of the buildings that Kalbetis' operations have secured, instead, with Lord Pradnakt the center of the scene.

There are snipers - droid and human - emplaced atop the (simulated) building.

There are guards, both outside and inside.

There are even barricades.

(Nine is, presumably, also here with Lord Pradnakt.)

That seems like a good idea, yes, and if it's not it's better to find that out now. He's not in her immediate vicinity - even if nobody minds a battle droid being in the hospital it's a poor use of valuable healing-aura space - but he claimed the section of the innermost perimeter that's along her most likely evacuation route if she needs to escape.

It's not so much a matter of healing-space so much as traffic flow as far as they're concerned, they're not expecting to run a planetary army's worth of casualties through this station such that they'll need every cubic meter of healing aura available - but Nine covering an avenue of retreat makes a lot of sense anyway.

And here's the opfor deployment from one of the sims that breaches deep enough for live data to be needful; they're on standby to feed the live results back into the resimulator.

Don't forget the incoming medevacs.

"Lighthouse Actual, this is Reef 12, we're seeing a heavily armed angry mob coming your way.  No idea who pissed them off or if it's even us they care about, but I don't think they're gonna divert if we ask nicely.  We're covering Logistics' ass here, so we can't stick our heads out, but we'll try to pick some of them off from behind."

"Shoal 5, this is Lighthouse Actual, you've got a mob coming from NNE on the level, intercept and divert if able.  You're authorized for demolitions."

What's the simspace say about the mob's intent, are they in fact targeting the hospital or just nearby?

They might have been aimed at something that happens to just have them go through the area of the field hospital, but they certainly aren't going to just ignore it.

If they're targeting the hospital Lord Pradnakt will notice them sooner, is the thing. Not quite yet if they're not, though.

They are not directly pissed off at the hospital, no.  They're just pissed off in its general direction.

And through some of the doors at the far edge of the (repurposed) cargo bay enter rather a lot of people - no less than thirty but probably not more than fifty or sixty, to those trying to count with normal senses - armed with blasters and improvised weaponry.

The forces arrayed against them are twenty soldiers, two snipers, and the retreat team.

These are pretty good odds, in their opinion, if nothing else comes up.

(Something almost always comes up.)

Did somebody say "hostile assassins?"  It's a good time for hostile assassins.

Snipers--

If you think they're not smart enough to take advantage of the existing chaos you really need to think again.
