Tabby is surprised by how pleasant humans are.

Eventually the party dies down. The islanders have work to get back to, most of them.

And so do the children.

Gren hugs her mom and grandma very hard before they set off again, though.

The twins hug pretty hard, too.

And finally, they're loaded up with delicious grandma food, and it's back to work.

It's a nice evening for sailing at least. Compared to the storms.

"So, what do we do when we get there?"

"You simply must place the pearls on three magic pedestals on three different islands. The most difficult task for the next day or so is sailing. But after that, the Tower of the Gods will be revealed, and you will need to solve its puzzles. I cannot turn them off and I do not already know the answers, alas."

"Why does everything involve puzzles here?"

"The ancient Hylians were fond of them," he says, with a strange glint in his eye.

"They can be fun, I guess. I used to do them with my mum."

"It's a bit of a shame they had a keen sense of scale. There are no puzzles smaller than yourselves, I suspect."

"Was there less water back in your day?"

"Hyrule was... Well, the Great Sea used to be a river and a lake. The last time Ganon attacked, just before he was sealed, the gods flooded it to destroy his armies of monsters..."

"But wouldn't that mean lots of people drowned?"

"Many of them, yes..."

Boats can't cry. That's the rain. Definitely. Despite the clear sky.

Nemo seems to be trying not to think about it.

"But that would mean the gods made a mistake! Or overreacted! Or something!"

"Yes, perhaps. Or perhaps it was necessary to keep Ganon from destroying everything instead of most things."

"It's still a stupid decision! I thought the Hyrule gods were supposed to be good!"

"What if they do it again?"

"I don't think they will. That was the most chaotic and frightening time anyone had seen for the last millennium, and they generally care about people being happy and safe. But there would be nothing stopping them."
