He will not be touching any of those magic items. "Please set the gold on the desk." He opens a drawer and pulls out a strange set of vials and stones.

This will take some time. She uncovers the cart and starts to lift, shifting to allow Yanor to help her. Or Tomas if he feels so inclined. She made sure to leave the gold in bricks she could lift if needed, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to leave them to her.

Yanor and Tomas help her lug the bricks up onto the desk.

Wow that is a shocking amount of gold. The shaping might be amateur but it's not every day someone walks in with a literal fortune in solid gold. Then again, they must be rich if they're really in the market for raise dead and restoration. He throws a detect magic at the pile— What the fuck are the rest of the auras from the cart. He's never seen an aura that strong before! Alright, successful adventurers, the Bank is taking you seriously now.

The banker puts on some gloves. He takes a few thin needles of what appears to be gold out of a safe and drags them along the surface of a flat black stone. He takes one of the party's gold bars and does the same. Both leave streaks across the stone.

There is a reason she offered a bet on it.

"The enchantments are an assortment of basic magic weapons, various utility effects, and some more interesting things. We will pay for confidentiality and an analysis of the important items. If you believe your skills sufficient, we will accept the attempt at half again the price of your time, you refunding twice the excess if you were inappropriately confident. Alternatively we will pay for safe deposit until a sufficiently skilled analyst is available, at standard rates."

He unstoppers a vial and pours a few drips of sizzling liquid onto the stone. He pulls out a magnifying glass and spends a couple of minutes peering at the strange reaction.

"The gold is of the highest level of purity we measure. I would estimate its value at roughly ten thousand Absalom pounds. I suspect we will be happy to purchase this quantity from you at that price, but I cannot authorize such a large transaction myself. I am not sufficiently confident in my appraisal skills for magic items, so that analysis will have to wait for tomorrow. We have plenty of room to store your treasure in our vaults at our standard rate. Do you have an account from which we can draw funds for payment?"

"I do, or we can pay out of a smaller transaction. These coins should be more easily used." The hydra's coins were mostly silver by mass, but there was still quite a lot of gold there, and the bank shouldn't need any odd handling for straightforward coin deposits. In small enough sizes. Two pounds of the gold from that should easily cover their storage needs.

The Bank indeed does not have any trouble with a straightforward coin transaction. Their treasure will be moved to the vaults.

"If you want the raise dead and restoration tomorrow, you must pay ahead of time for the spells, but not for their material components. In this case, we will have a cleric with the relevant circles prepare them for you. If the full transaction does not go through tomorrow, and there are no other buyers that day, we will keep the price of the spells as an opportunity cost. If you are fine waiting until a day after our appraisals and transactions have completed, or if you already possess enough money in an account with us, you can simply buy them directly in full."

She's... slightly time-constrained. The diamond cost shouldn't be a problem but it might be? Hmm.

She might be contacted any day now. A two-day span of being easily available is potentially useful. "Waiting a day is acceptable to me." Yanor can of course express an opposing opinion.

"I think that's fine. Julen will be under gentle repose for a few more days."

The banker nods. "Very well. Is there anything else we can help you with tonight?"

"Nothing of the same import."

She doesn't have anything else, but it's possible one of the others does. If not, it's time to find a bed for the night. There should be something reasonable with the amount of money she can afford to throw around now.

The others are quite tired and would also like some sleep. Tomas is going back to his place. Yanor doesn't do inns; sylvan hideaway is all he needs. With her expanded funds, Tencednil can easily find a nice place to stay in the upper districts of the city.

She would really appreciate Rope Trick or something like that at some point. Unfortunately, her sorcery makes the choices it makes and she has little say. She doesn't need a nice place, just a place which has open beds this late and preferably has relatively few windows. She couldn't bring many blackout curtains in her pack and the sun's timing is not hers.

She finds a place with interior shutters whose windows face other buildings. Will that work?

It will have to do. Nothing to spend her spells on... Time to sleep.
