"I've been describing it as a big encyclopedia thing we have a copy of here that a local device shows to our other connected local devices."

"Ah. Yes, pictures on that would help."

Then Kevin can give Blai a slideshow.

Does it have what they look like inside too, he's not sure he can skip peels if all he knows is what they look like with peels.

"For some reason we don't have an image of a modern banana cross-section on hand, but we have some pictures of banana dishes and this one has the fruit relatively intact?"

"...that's intact? The peel must be very stiff to let it maintain its shape."

"It's relatively intact, the fruit is firmer than this when raw and also this picture shows it in a sauce. We just have the pictures that go with the articles and for some reason nobody put a nice cross-section picture with this article. They do have an image of a non-domesticated banana, but it's full of seeds and ours aren't like that."

"I can just leave the peels on, if they're not edible it should not much affect the spell's capacity."

"That's convenient! We were assuming it went by something more like non-water mass."

"I don't believe so. You can get quite a lot of dry hay with the spell if you're feeding horses with it."

"That's really interesting, because hay is full of 'cellulose' which is little bits of sugars connected to each other."

"...I don't understand the relevance."

"Well, you'd think that if it can only make so much sugar for humans it could only make a similar amount of connected sugar for horses. Or at least we would think that. I guess you wouldn't think that because it sounds like it doesn't do that."

"The general rule is that someone newly able to prepare the spell will be able to feed fifteen people or five horses for their full day's needs at full ration. The limit goes up with increased power but I'm not much beyond barely third circle."

"Well, it is a magic spell to make foods from nothing, so it's not surprising the details also don't make sense to me."

"There are some spells with a more straightforward weight limit, that just isn't one of them."

"Anyway, it's not my job to bug you about spell details, so I should drop this unless you're having fun. …oh, and I'm the one carrying a recording device right now but I can hand it off to you if you'd rather."

"I think either way is fine with me."

"I'll keep carrying it, then."

"Okay. Do we have revised requests in light of the spell not skewing that hard toward fruit, yet?"

"Yes."

Kevin can list off a set of requests generated by people with a strong understanding of what meats do and do not freeze well.

And Blai can get underway on chanting over the provided dishes.

After a moment Kevin points a device at Blai while he does this.

.........that's, uh, rude, especially to start doing while Blai can't stop without losing the spell, but he keeps going.
