scrolling back through my archives to look at my old posts as one does when one is The Only Good Poster On The Fucking Website and i was forcibly reminded of the hellweek egg cracking shitfit everybody threw a couple months ago.  do we really think every trans person's needs and identity are best served by a forcible transition started without any kind of input from them between the ages of 17 and 23.  do we really think nobody got forcibly outed to their violently transphobic parents in the middle of what was already the worst and most dangerous week of their lives.  come on now

I saw a news article once about how an esper had awoken in juvie for some minor shit and I remember he was trans.

Found him! [Polychromatic][#] and yeah he wasn't out at the time. Poor kid, bad enough to awaken in that kind of environment without it outing you too.

#in fucking juvie!!!!!! #and the only reason we arent overflowing with stories like this is because its so fucking rare #and not selecting for trans people at all #people talk about awakening per se like it is in and of itself a trans ally and even if we insist on personifying it it simply Fucking Is Not
