"He studied in Excelsior for a while. He has friends in Arcadia, too. I wouldn't be surprised if going after him destroys your reputation."

"He's trying to become a lich. I'm not terribly worried."

"Suit yourself! So, friends with celestials, probably friends with fiends but that's harder to prove. There's a woman in the Harmonium who remembers him fondly, but you'd have to go to Arcadia to get anything from her. Not worth it. There's the shopkeeper who I've fingered as his last contact before he left, but I might have missed someone more personal."

"Where's the shop?"

"Where else? The Market Ward. I can lead you there, but that's extra."

"You have to admire her entrepreneurial spirit. All right, lead the way."

So she does. She turns away a few who recognize the most sought-after tout in Sigil, and they travel the Market Ward relatively unmolested. There are shops upon shops here; someone unfamiliar with a particular establishment could easily get lost trying to find it.

They eventually stop outside Effervescent Elixirs, nestled between Aramand's Mending and Catch'rs.

"See if they have anything useful for us. I'll talk to the shopkeeper."

Nod.

"I'm less good with the talking. Do you need me for anything right now?"

"I think that's it, Kylie, thanks."

"No problem! Call me again if you're in town."

She strolls off.

They head inside.

The shop isn't very crowded. A heavily adorned half elf turns her nose up at them as they pass.

The shopkeeper, a rotund, slimy creature, greets them amicably.

"Welcome, come in, come in! What do you seek?"

"Information, principally. About a customer you may have had a few days ago?"

Elatra goes to browse.

"Many, many customers. Who are you seeking?"

Elatra finds bottles, vials, and flasks, all empty. She finds healing potions, potions of speed, and potions of invisibility.

"Man named Elgar Silverheart."

Hmm. Probably ought to pick up some of the healing. Can't necessarily count on the cleric.

"What would you like to know? Tiresome berk, weren't he."

"What did he buy?"

"Acid and a potion of invisibility. He was..."

He glances at Elatra suspiciously.

"He didn't want to stay long. He finds us shameful."

The shop also contains acid, tongues, and various unlabeled vials.
