That'd be more impressive if getting the social skills as class skills hadn't delayed your wizard casting.

Have you considered a career path other than becoming undead? I ask because I care.

Hitpoints are a sucker's defense.

And when you have undead immunities, Fortitude saves are meh, take 'em or leave 'em, whatever.

You'll be the first lich to die of a headcold.

If I do, I'll just regenerate at my phylactery.

...Can someone tell me whether it's illegal to say which laws I think people should break?

It's illegal.

Toff, you of all people aren't allowed to make fun of my Charisma modifier when you're the one who hired me for a teaching and administrative position.

The worse you make me look, the worse it reflects on you.

Touché.

In perfect fairness to myself, however, I am revisiting that decision.

Do you mean that it's illegal to say which laws you think people should break, or that it's illegal to say whether it's illegal to say which laws you think people should break?

Is it illegal to say what you think shouldn't be illegal?

Let me consult an Arbiter.

That's legal (with some exceptions).

I think it shouldn't be illegal to say which laws you think people should break.

Let's back off from this for now.

Aw, Lord Ornelos, don't be that way; I'll shape up, I'm getting +2 Charisma from a template soon.

Although I don't know if I'll be staying with the Acadamae long term. You know that's been my first choice pretty much since you hired me on to head the department - a lich loves her iron bowl -, but, they say in Geb that the age of men is over. So things are kind of in the air for me right now.

So, if they (allegedly) aren't being possessed by demons, what's going on with our adventurers and how is it a godplot to destroy everything that we love?

I always thought I was NG, but Someone made me a paladin, so I guess I was LG. This seems like evidence in favor of the argument that if you just try and do what's Good, you'll wind up LG.

No one likes a braggart, paladin.

I think you can forgive a man some boasting on what should be the proudest day of his life.

(And, congratulations on being Chosen!!)

I think that if you try and do what's Good, you might wind up LG or NG or CG, depending on your personality and where you live and which opportunities to do good you wind up noticing. It mostly doesn't matter which one you wind up with, unless you need it for a class feature or something, because while good and evil are things with moral value, law and chaos aren't

I think there are many Lawful virtues with moral value, though? Are you saying that, for example, keeping your word doesn't have any moral value? Abadar teaches that if you don't keep your word, you'll pull the rug out from under people who built their plans on the promises you made to them, and then all of society is impoverished.

Impoverishing society is evil, so Cayden says don't do it.

So that's your answer on what to choose when Chaos and Good are in conflict? To pick Good?

If you think that Chaos and Good are ever in conflict, you misunderstand Chaos or Good.

You were just congratulating an LG paladin, so why are you suddenly a Chaos partisan?
