"Oh, no, just, at some point later."

"...I think I will take that one, anyway, I am pretty confident of my guess."

"I mean even if she had no particular opinion on it it's really not that hard to work around when you are basically human-passing, let alone actually human."

"She has blue hands!"

"I meant for you. And anyone can tattoo their hands blue."

"Has anyone ever done that in the history of - but yeah, I'll be human. I want my limbs. My magic already kind of requires exercise to function properly and I'm pretty jazzed about it needing sleep instead."

"Yeah, I actually can't make you anything other than human by awakening you, because you don't have any non-human ancestry at all. That'd be weird, if you weren't from a totally different Earth with a totally different history."

"The nonhumans really get around, huh?"

"Well, yeah, the species differences aren't that pronounced, psychologically speaking. People, in general, really get around."

"So I have Bella's hack and the no veil thing. What's next?"

"Addiction, compulsion, and requirement. Something you're addicted to on about the level of coffee, something you can't stop yourself from doing every so often, and something you need in order to survive."

"...spooky. I guess I already need lots of things to survive and already compulsively tap my foot when people are singing but I assume they have to be new things."

"You can't need something you need in the same way you already needed it; if you have a preexisting addiction or habit, you can use that, because it isn't exactly the same; you're cutting off the possibility of breaking it. Magical addictions and compulsions can't be trained away."

"...the tapping my foot thing doesn't actually bother me, as long as I wouldn't still do it when I needed to be, like, running for my life?"

"For eight points, the most often it can come up is 'multiple times a day.'"

"...so only if I need to run for my life before there's been music on around me that day?"

"No, it's fine, I can just amend the trigger condition to require that you otherwise be relatively still."

"Okay, sounds good."

"You now have a total of thirty-five points' worth of complications; I usually recommend people fill up their potential cap before putting anything into increasing their initial pool, although since you can't put points from the same complication into multiple pools it would technically waste one point if you did that."

"Can I donate it to a good cause?"

"That is not currently a thing."

"Huh. Oh well. Are there other bad-things?"

"Oh, there definitely are, but I wanted to let you know that you'd hit the first of the two caps."

"Okay, next up?"

"There's one where in order to do witch magic you need a specially prepared focus to channel it through, and one that makes you more resistant to hostile magic at the cost of your own magic being harder to do--I don't recommend that one, I think it would probably impact your wizardry--one that makes your more unlucky, albeit more likely to survive situations of any given level of disastrousness--don't recommend that one either, given the mal thing--one that makes your true form that of a child, optionally with an additional effect that nudges people to take you less seriously."
