it is a truth universally acknowledged that a supervillain in possession of good taste must be in want of a nemesis (or, meguca Ruby cross drops on Worm)

"Not without consent, anyway."

"A sensible rule."

Even if Lily is pouting about it.

"You could always go looking for the other half as well."

"Maybe I will."

"Or make new tales to tell of your own."

"An interesting idea..."

"Life can be full of possibilities."

"The future is always in motion, after all."

She sticks her tongue out at both of them.

"Could also get new, firsthand material for your works..."

"Think we'd need Incandesce here for a full research session."

"I'm sure I can arrange something for our biggest fan – and nothing says you can't do preliminary investigations in the meantime..."

"I might need to think about it..." Though she's definitely interested.

Understanding nod. "No rush – go with whatever feels comfortable."

"Thanks."

"In the meantime... I was kinda curious about how your powers work? I've been researching parahuman powers, and quite frankly yours are an unusual amount of bullshit that makes me suspect you're operating under different rules." Well, they're possible with agents – Scion certainly could do all of this, and he's a reasonable benchmark for the greatest possible power level under the parahuman system – but maybe not allowed, but then again  Anakin's morals have put a crimp in Lily's research into agents...

She humans thoughtfully and glances at Ereshkigal, raising one eyebrow – she isn't sure if she wants to tell them, but the ghost is clearly another out of context problem for the locals, but a different out of context than Ruby...

She could also share her origins without sharing her weaknesses... She'll leave that judgment call up to her girlfriend, though.

Eh. Seems like the girl is most of the way there already and she's not getting bad vibes from this group.

"Pretty perceptive. They're from a... different area of the multiverse."

" – Like Earth Aleph different, or like different solar system different, or like Earth but of the 'what's a parahuman?' variety?"

"Third one – we've got stories about superheroes, but our weirdly real genre of choice is 'magical girl.' Plus, the system's been around for as long as anyone knows."

"Interesting – I'm 'different solar system' kind of different, using what the wider galaxy calls the Force – there's Force sensitives on this planet, but absent an established tradition of Force use, it's unlikely anyone's noticed more than prescient dreams and oddly good luck."

"Huh. And that'd be pretty much indistinguishable from superstition..."

"Though, I now feel obliged to ask the most important question to pose to an actual alien from outer space – how the fuck did you get here? And can I borrow your spaceship?"

"Think that was two questions..."

"Every science fiction nerd knows that they're actually the same one. I just made the implicit, explicit."

"Fair."

"Unfortunately for you, I teleported using the Force – for complicated reasons, that isn't subject to light-speed delay – though actual spaceships use a hyperdrive to route around the universal speed limit, effectively shortening the distance they need to travel, especially along the established lanes."

"My son is getting together an expeditionary force to assist here, and I'll ask him if you can take his spaceship for a joy ride – though the Simurgh is making everyone nervous about a conventional approach."
