The werecoyote is nowhere near her den.

There might be signs of her somewhere.

Felix tries to follows any signs he can find unless it is clear he won't find her until it is dark (He is not willing to call attention by illuminating the way with fire).

How good is his eyesight?

He can find tracks, if he looks.

His eyesight is 20/20 and can fly close to the ground or simply walk if necessary. He follows the tracks. Are they still human?

Human, yes. She's been walking on all fours as best as she can, which isn't very well.

Oh, dear. She must really not be used to human form. Felix keeps following.

He'll find her eventually.

It looks like she's trying to hunt.

Felix will wait a little until the hunt is over or she acknowledges him or something else comes up.

The hunt does not go well.

No claws, no teeth, and barely above human speed- she can't catch the rabbit at all. It scampers off.

She spots Felix.

"What?"

"I wanted to check how you're doing and if offer you food and clothes." He points at the bundle he brought.

Absently, he makes the air warmer, since she is still naked in the forest.

"I don't need those! I need to run again, I need paws..."

"What is happening? Why can't you turn back?"

"I don't remember how, that was the first time I did it, when they- when I- I don't remember what I did besides wanting to get away and I do, I do want to leave and never come back."

That must have been a strong desire to never come back. "Okay, okay," Felix says agreeable and soothingly, "you don't have to go back. And I know it is my fault that you changed back, but please let me help you. At least until you get the hang of shifting again."

She takes the food.

"Thanks. My name's Malia."

"You're welcome. I'm Felix Dalkaila, I'm... new in town. I met Scott and have been trying to offer my help around."

"Scott changed me?"

"I'm unclear on what happened and I was distracted helping Isaac, but he was the one trying to calm you down."

"He did this to me. He's the one."

She picks at her food.

"I've known Scott long enough that he definitely didn't meant to." Felix really doesn't think Scott can plan things that well. "And he would like to help you out because of what is happened anyway."

"I don't need his help. I can survive on my own, like I had been."

"Not needing it doesn't mean you shouldn't. It would at least make things easier if you had other to rely on or a place where you can get help, like if you had to run from hunters."

"They won't be after me now, since they'll think I'm just a human girl."

"I was talking about the type of hunter that hunts were-people like you."

"There are people hunting...werecoyotes?"
