"There isn't really an easy answer for that, but a simple enemy-ally division isn't necessarily better. If Scott was truly your enemy and evil - just Scott being evil, really - the world disaster wouldn't cover it. He would be able to invade anywhere you hid and he can make werewolves."

"I'm not saying he's evil or whatever, I just don't want to talk to him." 

Felix thinks about this for a moment and nods.

"So it's okay if I just stay here and don't talk to humans, until I can learn to change back?" 

"Of course. You're free to do as you wish as long it doesn't harm others."

"Cool, thanks. I'm gonna go now. Have a good day."

"You too."

Now what is Felix supposed to do? Oh, right, he was meant to meet that druid to check his head.

Mr. Argent will be waiting for him. 

Oh, right. That is too be expected. Felix can feel his face settle into neutrality... did he get a Pavlovian response to these people in this short time?

He greets Mr. Argent and whoever else is there.

"Felix, good to see you again. This is a family friend, I thought she would have some input."

"Hello, Felix. I hear you need some help."

"Yes. It is a weird problem. I recently acquired the ability to speak any language." Felix says, then he repeats the phrase switching languages between words, he is fully understandable. "I have no idea how that happened and have no way to formulate an hypothesis, I would like to check for memory tampering in case I acquired the power during a time that was erased."

"Interesting. You can acquire powers like this kind of communication without intending to?"

Felix shrugs. "I'm not aware of anyway that I could just grow a power and while I had some unusual circumstances happen recently they don't intuitively scream to me as an explanation."

"So you think someone found a way to give you a new power but didn't want you to know? Regardless, I can check for memory loss without knowing the process you're imagining."

She approaches him.

"I was thinking someone wanted to erase the time period and me getting the power just happened to be in the middle of it."

He lets her approach.

She checks for stolen memories, for ill-hidden gaps, for broken connections between thoughts.

She doesn't find any. His mind is squick clean of any memory tampering that is detectable by her.

"Thankfully, there are no signs anyone has been here. I can't help you much beyond that." 

"You're sure?"

"His memory is all his own." 

Sigh. "Thank you, and sorry for wasting your time... I could give something to repay you - either of you - for inconvenience."

"Don't worry about me. And there's not much you can give him, now. His wife and sister are dead, he's always unhappy."

"Okay." That was an extremely intimate thing to say on behalf of someone else.

"It was nice meeting you, Felix."

She takes her leave.
